Many local colleges run a great range of courses which cover both general cake decorating skills as well as specifics such as sugarcraft and seasonal designs.

| Cake icing and sugarcraft is as much of an art as it is a craft. Anyone who is familiar with this activity will understand that there is as much pleasure to be gained from contemplating these creations as there is from eating them! Sometimes the work produced is more akin to sculpture than to cakes and has as much potential to satisfy the emotions as it does to satisfy hunger. Our three-term course is open to anyone with an interest and enthusiasm in cake icing and sugarcraft and who may have wondered how those beautiful cake creations that celebrate the special occasions in life such as weddings, birthdays and anniversaries are made. You may already have some experience of this craft and may have attended the Beginners course but if you have no previous experience you are equally welcome and will be made to feel at home by our supportive tutor. |
